At Totuma Labs, LLC ("Chainitor", "we", "our", "us"), your privacy matters. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, secure, and retain information when you use Chainitor. By using Chainitor, you agree to this policy.

1. Notice

This policy explains:

  • What information we collect.
  • How we use your information.
  • When we share information and with whom.
  • How long we retain information and how we secure it.
  • Your rights and how to exercise them.

If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use Chainitor.

2. Your Consent

You choose whether to provide information and allow processing:

  • For non-essential items (e.g., optional analytics/cookies, organization name), you may decline without losing access to core functionality.
  • For essential items (e.g., an email to create an account, billing details for paid plans), declining may limit or prevent access to parts of the service.
  • By using Chainitor and providing information, you consent to the processing described here.

3. Usage

3.1. Data we collect

We collect only what we need to run Chainitor:

  • Account information: name, email address, and (if provided) organization.
  • Authentication: sign-in via Google Authentication or email magic link. We do not store passwords.
  • Monitor settings: blockchain addresses you specify, thresholds, frequency, and related configuration.
  • Service usage: events about your monitors (e.g., alerts triggered, recoveries), limited logs for reliability and security.
  • Payments: subscription details via Stripe (we don't store card numbers).
  • Integrations: data needed for third-party integrations like Slack (e.g., webhook URLs, channel configurations).
  • Optional analytics/cookies (if enabled): anonymized or aggregated usage to improve product experience.

We do not collect or store private keys, API keys, or other secret credentials.

3.2. How we use your data

We use your information to:

  • Provide and maintain Chainitor (set up monitors, send alerts, show up to 14 days of historical data).
  • Manage trials, subscriptions, billing, cancellations, and refunds (via Stripe).
  • Communicate service-related notices, policy updates, and support responses.
  • Improve reliability, performance, security, and plan future features (often using aggregated/anonymized data).
  • Comply with legal obligations.

Limited sharing with service providers. We share information only as needed with trusted vendors that help operate Chainitor, including:

  • Blockchain node providers (e.g., Infura, QuickNode),
  • Cloud and email providers, and
  • Stripe for payments.

These providers receive only what's necessary to perform their services.

Legal requests. We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Chainitor, our users, or others.

Google services. We use Google Authentication for sign-in and follow the Google API Services User Data Policy (including Limited Use requirements).

4. Retention of Information

  • We retain your account and monitor data while your account is active.
  • If you cancel, you can export your data. After 90 days from termination, we delete remaining data from our systems.
  • Some short-term logs/backups may persist temporarily for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance, then are removed.

5. Your Rights

5.1. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erase some or all personal data (subject to lawful exceptions).
  • Restrict certain processing.
  • Data portability (obtain your data in a commonly used format).

To exercise these rights, email [email protected].

5.2. Right to object

You may object to processing for direct marketing at any time; if you do, we will stop processing for that purpose. You may also object to certain other processing where applicable law provides that right.

6. Opting Out

You can opt out of non-essential communications (like newsletters or surveys) via unsubscribe links in emails or within your account settings. Service-critical emails (e.g., billing issues, security notices) may still be sent.

7. Security of Your Information

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your data, including encrypted connections (TLS/HTTPS), hardened cloud infrastructure, and strict access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to reduce risk and respond promptly to issues.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If changes are significant, we'll notify you by email or through the service in advance. Your continued use of Chainitor after changes become effective means you accept the updated policy.
